With Jayam Special School since its inception in 2011, she has been the backbone of our early journey, starting with just two children. Highly dedicated and compassionate, she is well-acquainted with every child and their family. She ensures smooth communication between staff and parents, distributes responsibilities efficiently among the teaching team, and plays a key role in organizing events and celebrations throughout the year.

Joining us in 2012, she has been instrumental in mentoring students, especially those appearing for the Class X State Board Exams. Under her guidance, our school has consistently achieved a 100% pass result every year. She also acts as a liaison with our external partners and event managers, ensuring our programs and collaborations run seamlessly.

A part of the Jayam family since 2013, she is skilled in handling children with various intellectual disabilities. She is also proficient in vocational training, including handloom weaving and crafts. Her creative workshops teach students to make gel candles, paraffin tea cup candles, and terracotta art, empowering them with essential life and work skills.

Also with us since 2013, she specializes in working with young adults. With a nurturing approach, she imparts employment-oriented skill training. Her vocational expertise includes baking, confectionery, and other practical job-readiness modules, helping students transition smoothly into adulthood and semi-independent living.

A highly dedicated and dynamic team member, Priyanka efficiently manages both administrative responsibilities and all financial accounts of the institution. Extremely proactive and organized, she ensures smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining accurate records and timely reports. Beyond numbers and files, she holds a deep sense of care and empathy for every child with special needs, always attentive to their well-being. With strong coordination skills, she maintains excellent rapport with teachers, staff, and partner organizations.

Our Occupational Therapist provides specialized therapy for children with developmental needs. She is skilled in managing behavioral challenges and emotional regulation, helping children develop better focus, coordination, and self-control. Her calm and structured approach has been key in improving the daily functional skills of many students.

Dedicated to enhancing the physical development of children with motor challenges, our Physiotherapist works closely with students to improve their strength, balance, and mobility. Through personalized exercise plans and supportive care, she empowers each child to reach their full physical potential and become more independent in their daily activities.

With a passion for working with young children, she leads our early intervention program with joy and creativity. Known for her lively presence, she often sings and dances with the children, making learning a fun and engaging experience. Having completed her special education course, she joined Jayam with a commitment to care for our residential boys. Gentle, nurturing, and patient, she is especially skilled in supporting students in functional academics. Her calm presence and soft approach provide a sense of comfort and stability for the children in our hostel.

With over 5 years of experience working with Grade 1 and 2 children, Geetha is a passionate and skilled special educator who brings energy, warmth, and expertise into every session. Her strength lies in effectively combining academic teaching with speech therapy techniques to support children’s overall development.
